River Danube in August 20. （８月２０日のドナウ川）Part 7

At the river side （川べりにて）



ホテルに戻っても部屋に入らずにすぐにホテルの川べりに向かう。
Although we go back to the hotel, again we go out to riverside.




ドナウ川の川べりの道路は封鎖されて歩行者天国のようになっている。
The road along to the river was closed and was made for pedestrian path.

ここにも音楽用のステージと屋台がずらりとならんでいる。

我々はその屋台の横に特設されているテーブルの中でもっとも川の景色が見えるところに陣取って今度はビールとゆでたとうもろこしとパプリカで味付けしたソーセージ(ちなみに英語では「パプリカで味付けをした」という言葉と「ハンガリー風の」という言葉には、同じhongroiseという言葉を使う。それほどパプリカとハンガリー料理は密接な関係にある）を飲み食いしながら、日がくれてくさり橋と王宮の丘がライトアップされるのを待つ。

This place, as same as Hero’s plaza, were filled with temporal shop and concert stage. Among many of tables next to the shops, we occupied a table most close to the river which was very convenient for seeing riverside scene.

We waited for sunset and all architectures to be lighten up, having beer, boiled corn and hongroise sousages. You know, hongroise means “Hungarian style” as well as “Flavored with paprika. So again, paprika is the essential seasonings for Hungarian meal.

ステージからはハンガリーのバンドの演奏が聴こえてくる。素人の感じはしないしっかりとした演奏だ。
ハンガリーの建国記念日にハンガリーの首都のそれもド真中で開催されるイベントに出場しているくらいだから、きっとハンガリーでは有名なプロのミュージシャンなのだろう。

A band music was heard from concert stage. They performed really good music. I assume they must be Hungarian famous professional musician. Otherwise no one cannot play on the day of national foundation at very centre of the capital city.



日がくさり橋の向こうに傾き、淡いピンクの西の空にくさり橋のシルエットが浮かぶ。
The sun had sat over the chain bridge and its silhouette came up from light pinkish sky.






そしてブタ側の建物からポツリポツリと明かりがともり出す。

そして序々に王宮、橋がライトアップされていく。三日月というには、ちょっと太りぎみの月が王宮の上空に輝く。美しく、荘厳な風景である。

Then lights started to lit up from buildings of Buda side.
Then light up started to Royal palace, then chain bridge… Fat crescent was flowing above the royal palace… We stunned the marvelous landscape in front of us.





我々はこの風景を心ゆくまで満喫したあと、ホテルにもどり、８月１９日を終えた。 深夜、これまでの借りを返すかのように、激しい雷がとどろき、と強い雨がホテルの窓をたたき続けていた。

After enjoying that heavenly view, we went back to the hotel. The end of the day.
In the midnight, I could hear loud thunder lightnings and strong raindrops banging the window of our room.
